Before founding Poppywriter, principal Poppy Sundeen served on the creative staffs of advertising agencies including Bozell, Carmichael-Lynch, Campbell-Mithun and Bloom (now known as Publicis).

In her 25-year career, Poppy has won more than 100 advertising creative awards, including Clios, Addys and the Adweek Southwest Creative All-Stars Most Valuable Player designation. Her work has appeared in the One Show book and Communication Arts.

Poppy has served on the judging panels of the Clio Awards, International Broadcast Awards, district Addy Awards and regional Emmys. She completed a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Ad League.
